Road is a means of access for humans to move from one place another, connecting and serving as transportation infrastructure. At all times, asphalt roads are passed by road users, including small, medium, large vehicles. However, conditions not always smooth often there damages in certain parts the road. Factors such water, weather, temperature changes, unstable soil conditions, air temperature, poor compaction process on base layer, weight or overload heavy vehicles that exceed capacity, well increasing volume vehicles, can cause damage. damage reduce economic revenue increase accident rates. This study uses Canny edge detection method detect The minimum object size be detected 15x15 pixels maximum 290x540 pixels. Testing was conducted 65 primary data 35 secondary data, average accuracy obtained were 90.5% 88%, respectively.
